I was almost nominated for an award! One of the other blogs that I follow, Her Best Hair, had a post for a The Liebster Award which she was nominated for, and she nominated everyone that read the post. So here goes nothing.

11 Random Things About Myself

1. I have a habit of buying things but not using them.
2. I prefer a pen and paper over typing.
3. I once wrote a cover letter comparing me and Kanye West. I thought that it was good, but the employer didn't.
4. I watch QVC at random times during the day for no real reason.
5. I've realized that I can only be mad at someone for about 5 minutes and then I forget the reason why I was mad.
6. I used to memorize commercials when I was younger. I guess that is where my marketing background comes from.
7. I cannot wait until summer to wear my hair out.
8. The beat from Drake's Headlines is playing in my head right now.
9. I think that I might end up being with a white man. No shade, tho.
10. I'm thinking about taking a calligraphy class this winter.
11. I cut my nails down at the beginning of every month.

Late Nights & Random Thoughts...

I'm up at approximately 12:06am. Write this one down. Since my hours changed at work, I have been getting to sleep at 10:30-11 at the latest-to be sure that I am up to be on time. I told someone at my job that I feel like I'm a part of an elite team of workers who are up when its still dark and on the road when its still dark. Then my maintenance aide reminds me that he's up at 4:30am. [Egg on my face].

 Maybe its delirium but my mind is running wild and this is what I am thinking:

DJango [the J is silent] was a good movie. Those three hours just flew by.

I went to test drive a car and the dude was amazed that my current car passed inspection with a serious wide-eyed look, sitting on the edge of his seat like I was about to tell him the secret Coca Cola recipe, lol! He asked again, because he really wanted to know. He then proceeded to tell me that I really needed a new car and offered $1250 for the Yota.

I need some new UK artists to listen to. These are the times that I miss working at the GAP because I find out about new artists. If you know of any, let me know!

I cheated on eating clean, but I really feel bad about it.

I need to make a wish list.

My life is like a sitcom...or reality show.

I am torn between doing what I am told, what's right, and standing up for what I believe. I worry about the consequences, but it so wrong what they are doing. Since this pertains to my job, I will not go into details, but pray for me.

Shrimp is my new obsession. I eat so many shrimp I got iodine poisoning [in my Pimp C voice].

The One That Got Away friended me on facebook...and he is married. How do I feel about this? Not too bad, but felt that I needed to mention it. He looks old anyway.

I want to sew an apron and a pair of high-waisted pants. Have to figure out how to read a pattern...and sew.

I could be taking down my tree instead of writing this post.

Blue eyeliner looks better than black on me, when I am going for a casual look.

Why am I not married yet?!?! This is so puzzling to me. Ugh! Patience, Kara.

I have been loving my crockpot!

I thought that the song Stevie J wrote was great for Mimi...not the lease bit romantic, but who knew he could sing.

I got to listen to this Frank Ocean album and see what all the hype is about.

Recently, I have been planning *in my mind* my wedding and baby shower

I am going start asking boldly for things. Just randomly pulling up at drive thrus and yelling my order.

Spring cleaning wasn't enough, I need to do end of the summer cleaning.

H&M is killing my pockets...along with Nordstroms.

Where did all of this money come from? Not sure. But I am so proud that I brought my parents a new mattress--in cash!

I would rather poke my eyes out than do this budget for work...which is why I am writing this post (:

Me and this Heat!

There is a heatwave going on in the Northeastern parts of the country...well, actually most of the country. As I sit here with ice cold watermelon in hand and my favorite show on, Awkward, I couldn't fathom typing anything. I don't want to wear clothing, so having a hot laptop near me is out of the question. So, I will not being posting anything until the following a) the heat breaks and its under 90 degrees b) I pay my $10 in fines and use the desktops at the library or c) a combination of a and b.

I know that they said that heat can cause delirium and the homicide rate is at an all time high when the temperature is over 90 degrees, but my juices have been flowing! Maybe its because I came back from vacation and well rested. Anywoo, here is a list of things to come!

Real Quick: Nook

Real Quick: After 3 months of having it, I finally opened up my Nook. I must say that I love it! I was so anti-ereader and now I am a total fan of it. Also, I found out how to get free wi-fi...yup, I am one happy camper! Now if I could just get over these sinus issues and start back working out, I'll be good =)

Thursday Tidbit...

I love YouTube. It has changed my life. I've learned how to do a smokey eye, created some great recipes, gotten some great fashion tips, but I wish that people would stop posting 12 minute videos about things that take 5 minutes! I understand that there are times when a lengthy video is appropriate, but I get slightly bored. Maybe I have a touch of ADD.

Thursday Tidbit...

How you doin'?!?!?! I liked Wendy Williams, half-cousin-in-my-head, alot better when she was on the radio. I am not knocking her moving up to the next level, but she was alot more unsensored when on the radio. She used to ask people the questions that everyone wanted to know the answer too...not the watered down, commercialized question she asked now. I remember I would listen to her radio show at work over the internet and be cracking up at my desk! I still like the talk show, but just not as much as the radio show.
