Sedona Lace 88 Matte Palette Review...

I'm not really the one for beauty reviews, but this one kind of blew me away. I had to go to a wedding with a peacock theme. I decided that I would do a little something different with my eyes. I watched a couple of YouTube videos that had peacock themed eyeshadow tutorials and just went for it. About a year ago, I brought the Sedona Lace 88 Matte Palette during a sale. Ok, 88 shadows for $12 plus shipping...I'm slightly sceptical.

I used it once and wasn't impressed at all. It reminded me of the cheap stuff that you get from the dollar store. It didn't last, colors wasn't vibrant at all. I thought that it was just a waste. My cousin used it and loved it! I was almost tempted to give it to her until I seen a video where the woman used a Nyx Milk Jumbo Pencil as the base, instead of eyeshadow primer. This is what makes all the difference, it makes all of the colors bright, vibrant, pop.

When I did my look, I wish that I would have taken close up pictures because it really came out pretty! I got complements about how nice my eyeshadow was. And, just as a disclaimer, I have big eyes, so I am not big on wearing crazy, bright, colors.

I would suggest this palette to anyone! This is not like the Naked Palette that has massive amounts of fallout. You get enough colors that you can create almost any look. And for the price of $19, you cannot beat it!

My 'Almost' Perfect Nude for Dark Skin...

While browsing my local Wal-Mart, I came across what I think to be an almost perfect nude color for dark skin. It's Rimmel Kate Moss #14 lipstick. At first, I was really skeptical because I always see this one YouTuber, who's name I cannot remember, use Air Fairy by Rimmel and it looks really good on her, but I need something a little darker and not so ash looking. This pictures shows it as being more pink than brown, but with some brown liner and gloss...its perfect!

Now, if you are looking for a nude nail polish, look no further than OPI San Tan-Tonio! I tried this polish in store and it was so pretty on, more like a chocolate milk color. I personally think that it would look great on all skin tones. I think that I am going to try mines with my leopard Konad stamping plate in black...cute!

If you are a dark skin girl, what are you favorite nude lipsticks and polishes?

I Tried So Hard To Love You...

When I went out last Friday, I decided to put on some make-up and since I was still participating in the Protect Ya Ends challenge, make-up was most definitely something that I need. There are my staple eyeshadows that I normally go to depending on how I am feeling and the look that I am going for. Normally, my two MAC eyeshadows or my Jessie's Girl pigment with Indianwood as the base. Last year, I got suckered in to buying the NAKED Palette by Urban Decay.

Urban Decay Naked Palette

Ya'll I honestly tried so hard to love to love this palette, but I just couldn't. Where to start?! When I got it, I went to YouTube and looked at every tutorial that I could. I did the first look. Ok, wasn't too crazy. Nice for everyday. The second time, I tried something with more of a smokey blue eye look. Ok, this is different.

With no exaggeration, those are the only two looks that I can do with it. I mean, for me, every look that I try looks the same. I tried to do something with a little more pink and it looked like shimmer. Tried to do a look with more browns, looked like shimmer. A disclaimer, I used the primer potion--and a cream base. And don't get me started on the fallout and chunks of glitter. Now, it is a good buy for the amount of product that you get, but that is about the only thing that I can really think of that I loved about it.

Sigh. I tried so hard to love you Naked Palette by Urban Decay, but I think that its time for us to break up.

Oh yeah, and I tried my Viva Nicki lipstick and I wasn't really feeling it.....I looked slightly jigg-a-boo-like with it on. Yes, I looked at School Daze a couple days ago.
